Welcome to the artist interview with Marianna @Mnnfrr. Let's hear what he has to say about her art, stickers, and materials.
- How would you define your style?
Colorful, approachable, and appetizing!
- What’s your favorite technique?
99% of the time I work digitally in Illustrator, using my Wacom board. I have nerve damage in my right hand, so I start with semi perfect vector shapes and use the smooth tool to make them more organic and match what I see in my head.
- Who or what is your biggest inspiration/s?
Food, community, sharing a meal, breaking bread, colors, flowers, produce, the produce aisle at the grocery store on a gray Winter day!
- How did it all start?
I was feeling uninspired by my 9-5 tech job and needed a more personal creative outlet. At that time I was also cooking a lot and hosting dinners, it made sense for me to start drawing food!
- Do you have a tip for those who are starting out?
Do you, keep your work honest to what you're passionate about because then it will resonate with the right people. And have fun! If you're not having fun, let it go.
- Favorite app/program?
Adobe Illustrator
- Why do you use StickerApp?
I LOVE stickers, and Stickerapp makes it so easy to create beautiful ones. I love how many papers and effects there are, the quality has always exceeded my expectations, and customer service is always so helpful!
- What’s your favorite sticker material? why?
I'm 100% a matte girl! The feel of the paper and the colors are incredible. I also love a glitter moment, and adding a little mirror matte into the mix.
- How do you use stickers for your own business/personal brand?
I love making sticker packs that I sell on my online shop!
