Passionate skateboarder, devoted nature-lover, and avid sticker user - Hamburg-based tattoo artist Broder has been tattooing for 8 years, and when asked what he primarily associates his job with, the answer is: freedom.

StickerApp: Hi Broder! Please tell us about yourself, who are you?
Broder: My name is Broder and I have been a tattoo artist for 8 years. I design individual tattoos for my customers with great attention to detail.
I have always been fascinated by the combination of pen and paper and what can be created from it. I decided to study after school, which laid the foundation for my future career. As a graphic and communication designer, I learned to use images to visualize my thoughts and tell stories. When I bought my first tattoo machine, my career path became clear.
Today, everything that I am, flows into my work. Born in Germany, near Kiel, I now live in Hamburg, always looking for the sea which runs like a leitmotif through my work. I compose all these elements, the sounds of nature, the dynamics of skateboarding, and my love of drawing, like music in my job.
That, to me, is freedom.
StickerApp: Why stickers, and why does it matter to add that special touch with custom stickers?
Broder: For me, stickers are the best form of advertising in the tattoo industry. You stand at the traffic lights for a moment or sit in a café while co-working and they're everywhere. A sticker with a cool design makes it easy to get someone's attention and spread the word about your work.
A sticker lingers longer and is more present than other gimmicks - you have something tactile in your hand. A high-quality sticker feels professional and makes a great business card.
StickerApp: How did you get started?
Broder: Stickers have always been a good add-on in the tattoo scene. I tried various companies and wasn't satisfied for a long time - until I found you guys!
StickerApp: What's your favorite material and why?
Broder: My favorites are wall stickers - they have a good material feeling, are durable, and can be applied and reapplied if you want to spice things up.
StickerApp: What value do stickers add to your brand, and customers?
Broder: It's incredibly cool for my customers to receive something personalized after an appointment with me. Customers usually receive one motif in a tattoo session, handing out stickers means customers' slapping them on their laptops, cars, mobile phones, etc. - an extension of classic ‘word of mouth marketing’.
StickerApp: Why do you choose StickerApp for your sticky needs?
Broder: Good quality has always been important to me, no matter what I do. My friends and customers have always stuck my stickers on their mobile phones and other tech, but they never lasted long and were broken after a very short time.
