What makes it a UV DTF Transfer

A UV DTF Transfer is printed in full color with UV-curable ink onto a clear carrier film, then cured and backed with a strong adhesive. Press the printed film onto a hard surface, then peel away the carrier film. The cured ink and adhesive stay behind, with no base material in the finished result.

With no base material around the design, the finished graphic has no material edge. Unlike a Die-Cut or Kiss-Cut Sticker, only the transferred design and adhesive remain on the surface. You also don't need to weed or manually align separate design elements.

At StickerApp, UV DTF Transfers are their own Product Category. They use the Transfer application method: a temporary carrier film holds the design while you apply it and is removed afterward, leaving the cured ink and adhesive on the final surface.

Materials & construction

A UV DTF Transfer is made from cured UV-curable ink and adhesive, supplied on a temporary carrier film. The carrier film holds the design during application but is removed afterward, leaving the cured ink and adhesive on the hard surface.

Carrier film: Holds the printed design before and during application. Removed after application.

Ink & adhesive: Remain on the surface after application.

Singles or Sheets?

Singles Individual UV DTF transfers, pre-cut and ready to apply one at a time.

Sheets Multiple UV DTF designs arranged together on one sheet, also known as a gang sheet. A good option when you want multiple designs, sizes, or copies on the same sheet.

Both use the same construction, ink, adhesive, and application method. The difference is how the transfers are supplied before application.

Common uses

Hard surfaces like laptops, bottles, phone cases, and metal panels: anywhere you don't want a material edge around the design.

Not sure if this is what you need?

UV DTF Transfers vs. Die-Cut Stickers: UV DTF Transfers have no base material in the finished piece (just cured ink and adhesive), so there's no material edge around the finished graphic. Die-Cut Stickers are printed on vinyl, and the sticker material remains part of the finished piece.

UV DTF Transfers vs. Vinyl Transfer: Both use a carrier film for application. UV DTF Transfers are full-color printed ink with no material substrate. Vinyl Transfer is cut from solid-color vinyl with no print. The color comes from the material itself.
