DTF Transfer
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers offer a simple, durable, and vibrant way to customize fabrics. They are easy to apply, highly resistant to cracking and peeling, and work on various materials, including cotton, polyester, nylon, linen, canvas, and eco-leather. However, heat-sensitive fabrics like silk or Spandex-heavy blends may not be ideal, so testing before application is recommended.
For the best results, we recommend using a heat press set to 285–300°F (140–150°C) with medium pressure for 10–12 seconds. If using a household iron, set it to 300–400°F (150–200°C), apply firm, even pressure, and press for 10–25 seconds with slow movements. Always let the transfer cool slightly before peeling, and roll the film off sideways instead of pulling it straight up. If needed, you can reapply heat with parchment paper for a few more seconds to ensure proper adhesion.
To keep your designs looking fresh, wait 24 hours before washing and always wash garments inside out at temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, and tumble dry on low or air dry. Never iron directly over the transfer—place a protective cloth over it if ironing is necessary.
DTF transfers are a great option for both professional applications and DIY projects, offering vivid colors, photorealistic details, and long-lasting wear. Whether you’re applying them at home or in a workshop, you’ll find everything you need to know. If you have specific questions, contact us!
FAQ
Our heat transfer prints are sensitive to humidity. To ensure longevity please store them in the plastic bag they arrive in until you apply them to your garments.
DTF transfers work on most fabrics, including cotton, polyester, and nylon, but some delicate or heat-sensitive materials may require special care.
DTF transfers offer vibrant colors, high durability, easy application, and versatility across various materials and design complexities.
Wash inside out at normal temperatures (up to 60°C / 140°F), avoid bleach, and do not iron directly on the transfer to maintain its quality.
For best results, use a heat press at 300°F (150°C) with medium pressure for 10–12 seconds. If using an iron, which is more suitable for smaller designs, apply 300–400°F (150–200°C) with firm, even pressure and slow movements for 10–25 seconds. Adjust time and temperature for heat-sensitive materials.
Wait a few seconds before removing the transfer film with a smooth, swift motion. Pull it off sideways rather than lifting it upward. If needed, place parchment paper over the design and reapply heat for a few more seconds at a moderate temperature.
DTF transfers are highly durable, resisting cracking, peeling, and fading even after multiple washes, when applied and cared for properly.
DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing transfers designs onto fabric via special PET film, high quality inks, adhesive powder, and heat pressing for durable, vibrant results.
