What makes it a DTF Heat Transfer
A DTF Heat Transfer is printed in full color onto a carrier film, then coated with adhesive powder and cured. When you apply it with a heat press, the adhesive powder melts into the fabric fibers and bonds the ink to the surface. After pressing, peel away the carrier film. Only the cured ink and fused adhesive stay on the textile.
Materials & construction
A DTF Heat Transfer is made from cured DTF ink and adhesive powder, supplied on a temporary carrier film. The carrier film holds the design during application but is removed after pressing, leaving the cured ink and fused adhesive on the fabric.
Carrier film: Holds the printed design before and during application. Removed after pressing.
Ink & adhesive: Remain on the fabric after application.
Common uses
Apparel, bags, and other fabric items. Works well on cotton, polyester, nylon, linen, canvas, and eco-leather. Heat-sensitive fabrics like silk or spandex-heavy blends may need testing before application.
Singles or Sheets?
Singles Individual DTF Heat Transfers, pre-cut and ready to press one at a time.
Sheets Multiple DTF Heat Transfer designs arranged together on one sheet, also known as a gang sheet. A good option when you want multiple designs, sizes, or copies on the same sheet.
Both use the same construction, ink, adhesive, and application method. The difference is how the transfers are supplied before pressing.
Not sure if this is what you need?
DTF Heat Transfers vs. UV DTF Transfers: Both transfer full-color printed designs using a carrier film, but they're made for different surfaces. DTF Heat Transfers are heat-pressed onto fabric. UV DTF Transfers are applied to compatible hard surfaces without heat.
DTF Heat Transfers vs. DTG printing: Both can produce full-color designs on garments, but the printing process is different. DTF Heat Transfers are printed onto a carrier film and then heat-pressed onto the fabric. DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing prints the design directly onto the garment. StickerApp does not offer DTG printing.
DTF Heat Transfers vs. screen printing: Both are used to decorate garments and textiles, but they use different processes. DTF Heat Transfers use a digitally printed transfer that's heat-pressed onto the fabric. Screen printing applies ink directly to the fabric through a screen. StickerApp does not offer screen printing.
StickerApp supplies ready-to-press DTF Heat Transfers. The garment is not included.
