Why aren't my stickers contour cut?

The editor finds the contour by contrast, so it usually needs a solid white or transparent background. If your preview has no contour cut, describe the cutline you want in a comment and we'll adjust it.

Getting a contour cut

A contour cut follows the outer shape of your design (see the Dictionary). The editor finds the cutline from the contrast between the design and the background, so your design usually needs a solid white or transparent background.

Common reasons the contour isn't found

  • The background is colored.

  • The background has a texture, such as a paper texture.

  • The design has white elements, which the editor can mix up with the background.

How to fix it

If your preview shows no contour cut, write a comment with the cutline you want and we'll adjust it. You can also ask for a proof of the change before printing. If you want to set it up yourself, see how to make your own cutlines. Read more about die-cut stickers.
