How small can a QR code be?
The smallest recommended size for a QR code depends on its complexity and scanning distance. Generally, a QR code should be at least 1 x 1 cm (0.4" x 0.4") for basic ones. However, for better readability, we recommend a size of 2 x 2 cm (0.8" x 0.8") or larger is ideal, especially if it contains more data.
QR codes are a fun and practical way to make your stickers interactive. Add them directly to your design or print them on the back paper to connect people with:
-
Websites and online stores
-
Social media profiles
-
Menus or product information
-
Event tickets or schedules
-
Spotify playlists or music releases
-
App downloads
-
WiFi login details
-
Portfolios and contact cards
-
Video content or behind-the-scenes material
-
Loyalty programs or discount codes
Printing QR codes on the back paper is a great option if you want to keep the front design clean while still adding extra functionality.
Test your code before print
We can not test QR codes before printing, so the best thing is to always make sure to scan and verify yours before placing an order.
For best results:
-
Use high contrast between the code and background
-
Avoid placing QR codes on heavily textured or reflective effects
-
Leave some empty space around the code
-
Test scan it on multiple devices before uploading your artwork
A quick test now can save a lot of frustration later.
