We asked Rob - @killeracid some questions...
Rob Corradetti's cartoon psychedelia exudes his distinct tongue-in-cheek humor. The artwork is a captivating mix of randomness, vibrant colors, and peculiar elements that immediately captivate the viewer's attention. Yet, upon closer examination, one discovers that the landscapes and mindscapes intricately intertwine with personal symbolism and fragments of cherished memories. Let's see what he has to say:
- What’s your favorite technique?
I make a lot of lists and keep an active sketchbook. Most everything I draw by hand with pens and markers.
- How would you define your style?
Pop Psychedelia with some humor and a bit of classic paranoia.
- Who or what is your biggest inspiration/s?
Cartoons, cats, mushrooms, and nature.
- How did it all start?
I started by selling t-shirts out of the back of my car in high school in the mid 1990s. I had gotten lucky, befriending some older hippies with a print shop.
- Do you have a tip for those who are starting out?
Try not to stress, follow your heart, have fun.
- Favorite app/program?
I work primarily with Photoshop and Procreate for post production and design.
- Why do you use StickerApp?
They have nice materials and fast turnaround times!
- What’s your favorite sticker material? why?
Holographic paper is my jam.
- How do you use stickers for your own business/personal brand?
I’m obsessed with stickers. We sell stickers directly to our customers and include minis for free in every order.
