Are removable stickers waterproof, and how long do they last?

Removable Stickers are water-resistant but not waterproof. They are made for temporary use and last several months in low-traffic spots. For outdoor or long-term use, choose a permanent adhesive.

Durability of removable stickers

Removable Stickers have a laminate and can handle some moisture, but they are not waterproof. Their low-tack adhesive is weaker than a permanent adhesive so they can come off without residue. That also means long exposure to water or high humidity can make them lose their grip.

How long they last

It depends on the surface and the conditions:

  • In low-traffic spots and on surfaces that are rarely touched, they can last several months.

  • On items that are handled often, such as laptops, they wear faster than on surfaces that stay still, such as windows.

  • Direct sunlight, moisture and high temperatures shorten their life.

What they're good for

Temporary uses such as seasonal promotions, event name tags, organizing labels, notebooks and smooth walls, and delicate surfaces where the sticker must come off cleanly.

Getting the most out of them

Apply them to clean, dry surfaces and avoid places with a lot of moisture. For outdoor use with rain and humidity, or for long-term use, choose a sticker with permanent adhesive, such as vinyl, or see weather-resistant stickers.
