Faq

How long does the self-luminous effect last on glow in the dark stickers?

The effect depends on how long the stickers are charged. The longer the stickers are exposed to direct light, preferably strong UV light, the longer (and more intensive!) the self-luminous effect.

Is the self-luminous effect rechargeable on glow in the dark stickers?

Yes, our glow-in-the-dark stickers have to be charged in direct light, preferably under a strong UV light to become self-luminous. After the effect fades, you can recharge your stickers in light and they will glow again. The longer the stickers are exposed to direct light, preferably strong UV light, the longer (and more intensive!) the self-luminous effect.

Can glow in the dark stickers be cut into custom shapes and sizes?

Yes, our glow-in-the-dark stickers can be cut into almost any custom shape with rounded edges. The maximum size for glow-in-the-dark stickers is 47" (27cm) on one side, so there is a wide variety of shape and size possibilities.

What types of designs are best suited for glow in the dark material?

The glow-in-the-dark effect shows best on white parts of the design. It's possible to achieve it on light, cold, pastel colors as well, but it's most intensive on white. We are unable to completely block the effect from certain parts so keep it in mind when creating your glow-in-the-dark design.

Are glow in the dark stickers waterproof and resistant to fading?

Our glow-in-the-dark stickers are water-, weather- and, with a glossy laminate, also UV-proof. They are resistant to light scratches and will work perfectly on a majority of smooth, dry and clean surfaces. Glow-in-the-dark stickers should survive up to 2-4 years outdoors before they begin to fade and it's even longer indoors, depending on the conditions that the stickers are exposed to.

The on-site mockup generator led me to believe that the glow in the dark vinyl by default had a yellow tint to it, so I left some parts of my image transparent, thinking they would turn out slightly yellow in the end. This is not the case, the transparent portions of my image are white on the final product. On the upside, not having any ink there makes the glow in those areas much brighter. I still think my design is cute, but the sticker builder and mockups should have clarified that any transparent/unprinted portions of the image would appear white in the end product.
