A StickerApp Interview Written by Nora 2024-08-05

Christopher is a homoerotic artist based in Long Beach, California, renowned for his satirical, phallic queer storytelling under the brand DICKSCOVERIES. “Ghosted” is the third installment in a series of 13, set to be released over the next two years.

StickerApp: Who or what's your biggest inspiration?

Christopher: My biggest inspiration is Kacey Musgraves. Her fearless creativity and advocacy for her passions really resonate with me. During my second year with DICKSCOVERIES, I was struggling with whether this could become a viable career, especially after the COVID lockdowns. When Kacey released the music video for “Blue Dream Baby” featuring Fancy Hagood—full of space erotica, similar to what I was creating at the time—it reignited my passion. It gave me the spark I needed and a goal of potentially collaborating with her in the future!

StickerApp: How did it all start?

Christopher: While I’ve been creating erotic artwork for over a decade, the pandemic reignited my love for art. The lockdowns brought a surge of sexual frustration, which I channeled into my work. I launched DICKSCOVERIES to tell stories and explore sexuality within the LGBTQ+ community. Each series delves into different facets of this experience. For example, “Ghosted” explores the pain of unexpected blockages on dating apps, missing someone after a breakup, or dealing with a tragic loss.

StickerApp: Do you have a tip for those who are starting out?

Christopher: Be unapologetic in your creativity and keep practicing. Don’t get discouraged by events or art shows that don’t lead to sales. Success often comes from making meaningful connections and talking about your work. You’d be surprised how many people are genuinely interested in hearing about your art and story. Especially in the queer community, local gay bars and community events often seek to uplift local artists and offer opportunities to share your work.

StickerApp: What's your favorite material?

Christopher: I love glow-in-the-dark stickers. They’re incredibly fun and add a unique, interactive element to my art!

The team at StickerApp ensures that my stickers are perfect and communicates quickly and supportively, making it an ideal partner for reaching a global audience.
